The Tosor Gorge is located in the Terskey-Ala-Too range high in the mountains, on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Nearby is the village of Tosor. The gorge is known for its altitude – almost 4000 meters above sea level. It leads to the Kichi-Naryn Valley and Naryn Region.

From here, you can also reach Lake Teskey-Kul and the hot springs of Jyly-Suu. It is easily accessible by car, unlike other similar high mountain passes. This is a favorite spot for extreme off-road driving and cycling. Besides the pass, you can admire the terrain.

Sometimes the road runs very close to the river. Sea buckthorn and greenery are abundant. Then the road leads travelers into a wide mountain valley through rocky gates that are closely adjacent to each other. From here, you can reach the village of Bokombayev, the local forestry office, and the Tamga Gorge. The Tosor Gorge is an excellent option for hikes and serves as a base camp for many tourist routes.
