This renowned cave is located in the mountains of Gissar, near the settlement of Tashkurghan and the Kyzylgaza Pass, in the beautiful Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan.
The journey to the cave promises to be an unforgettable adventure. The entrance to the cave of the grand canyon is at the foot of the Eastern Wall, carved by the river through the limestone. However, to reach this marvelous place, one needs a guide. Although one can try to find an inconspicuous trail descending into the canyon with stone steps to a depth of over 200 meters.
The entrance to the cave impresses with its grandeur – an arch up to 6 meters high and 7 meters wide opens into a huge corridor up to 10-15 meters high. Almost along the entire path, the walls are adorned with whimsical calcite deposits, resembling jellyfish and stalactites.
It is believed that the great Tamerlane and his companions found shelter and prepared for military campaigns in this cave, adding even more mystery and interest to it.
