The Square of Memory and Honor is an important memorial erected in memory of those who fell during the Great Patriotic War. This monument was built in 1999 and is located in Independence Square, in front of the Eternal Flame.
Previously, a monument to the Unknown Soldier stood in this place. The eternal flame burning here is a sacred symbol. Every year, on May 9th, on the Day of Memory and Honor, many people gather here to remember and honor the memory of their heroes.
This monument reminds us of the soldiers who died during the war. The grieving mother symbolizes all the mothers who lost their sons during the war. The names of those who did not return from the front are carved on brass plates here.
DWC travel company invites you to visit this place to remember the heroes of the past together and see the symbols of eternal memory and honor.
