Rabat-Malik Caravanserai – DWC

The tourist company “DWC” offers you a unique opportunity to explore the historical landmark – the Rabat-Malik complex. This remarkable building was erected by the Khan of the Western Karakhanid Khanate, Shams al-Mulk, in 1078-1079.

The entrance portal, 18 meters high and adorned with brick ornamentation, led to the inner part of the palace. Archaeological excavations have revealed residential quarters, a mosque, a bathhouse, a kitchen, and spacious stables for 150 horses inside the building. The Rabat-Malik complex consisted of three parts – the southern part with utility buildings, the northern part with residential rooms, and the central gallery.

The Sardoba, a source of fresh drinking water, has been preserved in the ruins of the building, which we can still see today. Since the 13th century, Rabat-Malik has become a hospitable shelter for traveling merchants, pilgrims, and all those in need of refuge and rest.

This unique historical site will amaze you with its architecture and history. Take an exciting tour with the “DWC” company and rent jeeps in Bishkek to immerse yourself in the amazing world of Rabat-Malik.
