The archaeological complex “Ornok” is located in the north of Lake Issyk-Kul, near the village of the same name. It is an open-air museum that amazes with its scale. It is a huge valley 6 by 5 km, strewn with numerous stones. It is these stones that are valuable – almost every one of them is adorned with petroglyphs, dating back to the Bronze Age, Iron Age, and the Middle Ages. Here you can spend hours examining images of animals, hunting, and rituals.

Here are also depicted people in animal masks, camel caravans. Also located on the museum grounds are burial mounds, the remains of ancient structures and burials.

Interestingly, the complex is not even 50% studied and is popular not only with tourists but also with archaeologists.
