The Naurzum State Nature Reserve is a priceless natural treasure of Northern Kazakhstan, and it is the DWC travel company that invites you to an exciting journey to this unique place. Established in 1966, the reserve aims to preserve the unique natural complexes, rich flora, and diverse wildlife of the steppe zone.

One of the unique aspects of the reserve is its water bodies. It is one of the most water-rich areas in Kazakhstan, including the large lakes of Aksuat and the salty lakes of Sarymoyn. Such diversity of water bodies contributes to the variety of wildlife inhabiting the reserve.

The flora of the reserve is remarkable for its variety of species. Here, you can find 687 species of plants, including the rare Shrenk tulip, which is listed in the Red Book.

The reserve also serves as a home to numerous bird species. Every year, around 282 bird species migrate to its territory, 158 of which nest here. Eagles, falcons, hawks, and many other predators find shelter and food here. 23 bird species inhabiting the reserve are included in the Red Book, indicating the invaluable value of this place for preserving biodiversity.
