The tourist company “DWC” invites you to visit the amazing monument “Cranes” in Chirchik. It is located in the central part of the city, occupies a special place in history, and symbolizes the millions of Soviet soldiers who perished during the Great Patriotic War.

The main idea of this monument is the depiction of a dying crane, watching its departing brethren. It symbolizes the souls of fallen soldiers, so poignantly described in the famous poem “Cranes” by the poet Rasul Ramzatov.

Bronze figures of a crane wedge are installed on a high concrete pillar, and at the base of the monument lies a fatally wounded crane, surrounded by verses in Russian and Uzbek languages.

This monument also holds special significance for Afghanistan war veterans who were here before being deployed to the combat zone. The DWC company organizes jeep tours not only throughout Kyrgyzstan but also in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
