Moldo-Ashu Pass is considered one of the most extreme in Kyrgyzstan. It is particularly beloved by car and bike travelers who are drawn to its winding seven-level serpentine road, enticing enthusiasts of adventurous drives.
The pass is located in the Naryn region, and crossing it leads to Lake Son-Kul. Its elevation is approximately 3243 meters, and conquering it is no easy feat. The ascent to the pass is very steep, covered by low clouds and fog, with each turn becoming a genuine surprise.
Nevertheless, it boasts some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. The views are simply fantastic – snow-capped mountain peaks, green fir-covered slopes, an explosion of colors during the flowering season, and mountain rivers gracefully winding between the hills.
