The Mausoleum of Sheikhantaur is an integral part of the architectural ensemble Sheikhantaur, which is one of the most important historical landmarks of the city of Tashkent. The mausoleum is located in the city center in the area bounded by Abay Street, Alisher Navoi Street, Shaykhantokhur Street, and Abdullah Qadiri Street.

For many centuries, tombs of rulers of Tashkent and their relatives were erected around the Mausoleum of Sheikhantaur. Eventually, a necropolis was formed here, including sixteen mausoleums. However, only three of them have survived to this day: the mausoleum of Sheikh Khovendi at-Tahur and Kaldyrgach-biya Yunus Khan.
