Lake Kel-Kogur is one of the most beautiful lakes in Kyrgyzstan, yet for some reason, it is not as popular as other attractions. The lake is surrounded by picturesque landscapes that are difficult to describe. Mountains, forests, and gentle slopes together form a picture that would be hard to imagine. Lake Kel-Kogur is part of the Chon-Kemin River basin, and it can be reached through the valley.

The shores of the lake vary. One side is dominated by fir groves, while the other features mountain slopes.

The areas around the lake are practically untouched by humans, which adds even more value to them. Along the way, tourists encounter several small settlements and the forester’s cabin. It can be confidently said that the ecology of nature here is maximally preserved.
