The Kok-Zhayyk Valley is located in the Jeti-Oguz gorge, 25 km from the city of Karakol. It is one of the main summer pastures on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.
In spring, the valley is covered with a carpet of flowers and various herbs. Cattle graze here, and visitors can enjoy horseback riding, taste kumys (fermented mare’s milk), and take a stroll to the Maiden Tears waterfall.
Local residents are happy to share insights into nomadic life. From here, routes to Jeti-Oguz and Lake Ala-Kul begin. In winter, the valley is covered with a snowy blanket and becomes truly magical.
