Canyons of the Kok-Moinok village are mountains made of sand and clay, formed by the wind. There is an opinion that there were once waters of Lake Issyk-Kul here. This is indicated by large amounts of salt deposits.
The canyons are located at the end of the gorge, on the opposite side of the Chu River – you can reach here via the Naryn highway.
The canyons are small gorges, sometimes forming microscopic caves and dead ends. It’s an excellent place for walks and photo sessions against the backdrop of intricate natural sculptures. The weather often changes here, so it’s advisable to bring a jacket, even in the summer.
The company DWC organizes jeep tours not only throughout Kyrgyzstan but also in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
