A tourist company from Bishkek invites you to an exciting adventure on jeeps, where you can immerse yourself in rich history and architecture. One of the remarkable attractions you’ll visit is the Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasa.
The Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasa is part of the architectural complex surrounding the famous Lyab-i Hauz in the city of Bukhara. The name of this madrasa and its adjacent khanaka were given in honor of the vizier Nadir, who ordered their construction.
Vizier Nadir was part of the court of Imamkuli Khan, a powerful ruler of the Ashtarkhanid dynasty who governed Bukhara from 1611 to 1642. This period was marked by stability and tranquility, focusing not only on wars but also on the development of the city.
The madrasa features the characteristic style of Central Asian Muslim monuments, but it also includes depictions of animals and humans, which are rare in Islamic architecture. It was inspired by the Sher-Dor Madrasa in Samarkand, although instead of typical lions on the portal, mythical birds of happiness are depicted here.
