The Issyk-Ata Gorge is located 77 km from Bishkek at an altitude of 1775 meters. It is home to hot springs renowned throughout the country for their healing properties. The baths help alleviate arthritis, polyarthritis, gynecological diseases, nervous system disorders, and gastrointestinal tract issues.
The gorge features two waterfalls located 5 km apart. Special footwear is recommended for visiting them to prevent slipping on the rocks. Alpine meadows, trees, and unforgettable views make it a feast for the eyes.
You can also admire an image of Buddha carved on a stone, dating back to the 10th century. In the 14th century, many local residents practiced Buddhism, making this place popular.
Issyk-Ata is a resort area, the oldest in Central Asia, operating since 1891. The main healing remedy here is mineral water with a temperature of 54 degrees Celsius year-round. The ideal time to visit is summer, but even in winter, people come here to bathe.
