In the heart of Dushanbe lies the symbol of the capital and all of Tajikistan — Dusti Square, which translates to “Friendship Square.” Locals often refer to it as “Somon Park” or the “Monument to Ismail Somoni” in honor of the founder of the Tajik state.

On this square, you will also see an impressive flagpole with the state flag of Tajikistan. It stands at a height of 165 meters, while the flag itself, measuring 60 by 30 meters, weighs a whopping 420 kilograms.

Dusti Square is adjacent to Rudaki Park, where a monument to the famous Persian poet Abu Abdullo Rudaki is located. Dusti Square is one of the most famous landmarks in Dushanbe, and almost every tourist takes photos here at the Ismail Somoni monument.

DWC Tour Company invites you on a tour of these amazing places so you can enjoy their beauty and history.
