The Mausoleum of Domalak-Ana is an architectural monument located in the valley of the Balabogen River, in the Karatau area. It was built on the site of the burial of Nurla Ali Slankizy, known as Domalak-Ana, the third wife of a respected military leader. She was renowned for her wisdom and care for the people, possessing qualities such as ethics, rationality, morality, and truthfulness.
It is believed that Domalak-Ana passed away while praying. In 1456, her grandson, Dulat, began the construction of a four-domed mausoleum over his mother’s grave. An architect from Bukhara was invited for this purpose. Over time, the mausoleum underwent multiple reconstructions, and its true appearance was lost.
Today, the mausoleum houses manuscripts and some valuable items. This place is considered sacred and popular among tourists.
