Chilpyk-Kala, also known as Chilpyk, is the oldest Zoroastrian monument with an age of over 2200 years. This round tower, devoid of a roof, stands at a height of 15 meters with a diameter of 65 meters and is located on the top of a natural hill, 43 kilometers from the city of Nukus.

Initially, there was a staircase leading to the tower, which was 20 meters high with carved steps in the hill. From the very base of the tower, there was also a road leading towards the river. Clay and stone ossuaries were discovered around and inside the tower, some of which can be seen today in the museums of Nukus and Tashkent.

Chilpyk-Kala is one of the most impressive landmarks of Karakalpakstan, and its image even appears on the emblem of the republic. DWC, the tourist company, invites you to visit this unique place and enjoy the captivating views of the surroundings, especially in the early morning hours when the sun is not yet so intense.
