The Charyn Canyon is located within the territory of the Charyn National Park. It was established in 2004 with the aim of preserving natural and geological landmarks, as well as endangered species of animals. Here grows one of the most unique trees on the planet – the Sogdian ash.

It existed even in the Paleogene era. The second similar grove of ash trees is located in America and is a UNESCO protected site. The age of the grove is approximately 5 million years.

The area here is very picturesque, and the landscapes are simply fantastic. The rocks that make up the canyon are about 12 million years old. Depending on the time of day, the canyon is painted in red, pink, or orange hues. Silence prevails here, interrupted only by the noise of the Charyn River.

The Valley of Castles is the most important attraction of the canyon. These are rocky formations resembling towers. Also, here grow more than 1500 species of plants, 103 species of birds, 62 mammals, and 25 reptiles. Many of them are listed in the Red Book.

Our company can organize jeep tours to the most interesting places in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
