Beshatyr is one of the significant ethnocultural and sacred centers associated with the Saka tribes of Northeastern Zhetysu. Its location in the Kerbulak district of the Almaty region, on the banks of the Ili River, 65 km east of the village of Shengeldy, within the territory of the Altyn-Emel Nature Reserve, makes it a unique historical site.

The Beshatyr burial mounds represent the central part of a vast ritual and memorial complex. The tomb-ossuaries in Beshatyr were built using technologies similar to those used in the construction of wooden dwellings with corridors, stables, doorways, and living chambers covered with reed and felt mats.

The pyramids of Beshatyr architecturally complete the surrounding space, giving it a unique charm and inspiring imagination with their mysterious secret.
The DWC travel company is ready to conduct excursions to this historically and spiritually significant place for all those interested in its rich history and cultural heritage.
