Bayanaul National Park is a unique area of natural origin located in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. Founded in 1985, it holds the status of one of the most beautiful areas in Kazakhstan and is included in the list of specially protected areas of the Republic. The park covers a territory of 68 thousand hectares with the aim of restoring and preserving its flora and fauna. It comprises steppes, forests, freshwater lakes, and small water bodies. The highest point of the area is Mount Akbet, standing at 1027 meters above sea level.

Legend has it that a beautiful woman named Bayan Sulu was born here. Another legend claims that the name of the area comes from the words “bayanda bolsyn, bayan ola,” which mean “happy heights” and “prosperity.”

Currently, the park is home to around 450 species of plants, 40 species of animals, and 50 bird species, some of which are listed in the Red Book of endangered species. The park does not have the status of a reserve, so no special documents are required for visiting.

There are sacred sites in the park that attract pilgrims from all over the world. For example, the Konyr-Aulie cave, which is believed to heal the sick and bless childless couples with children, as well as fulfill wishes.
