The Cave Mosque of Shakpak-Ata is located in the Mangystau Region. It is situated within the layers of chalk cliffs and gives a sense of an ancient sanctuary. It comprises several halls interconnected by passages. A stone staircase leads to the pavilion. On the walls, there are picturesque images from various epochs, including examples of Arabic script.

It’s advisable to embark on the tour in a four-wheel-drive vehicle, which can be rented from DWC company. Renting a four-wheel-drive vehicle in Kyrgyzstan allows you to venture off the paved road and explore more interesting places. A visit to the site can be done in a day, but if desired, overnight stays are possible there.
